The hotel is a five minute walk from the metro at Breguet-Sabin and it only takes 10 minutes from Gare du Nord (1.65euros). Very friendly and extremely helpful staff. The whole of the reception area is full of well cared-for plants, which gives you the feeling that you are in a botanical paradise. Our room overlooked the street, which was lovely. I spent a lot of time watching the comings and goings of a day in Paris. The central rooms overlooked the roof top herb gardens, used by the chefs in the restaurant. The hotel is located in an interesting area of Paris, near the Marais. Visit the famous Bastille market on Thursday and Sunday mornings, where stalls sell an abundance of fruit and vegetable, fish, bread and flowers to name but a few. There is a lot to see for free. Probably the most famous cemetry in the world - The Pere Lachaise, where Jim Morrison rests in peace, is a 15 minute walk to the east. Walk another 15 minutes south of the hotel, past the Bastille monument and you find the magical High Line Gardens, where trees and shrubs grow along a disused railway, raised high above street level. The concept has been copied in the High Line Gardens in New York. Paris is for walking and for exploring the many hidden treasures. Many pubs have happy hour, half price cocktails from 6pm-8pm. The best cocktails are at the Grand Cafe Bataclan, a ten minute walk north of the hotel. The Ten Belles Cafe, where you can buy artisan breads and good coffee is two minutes from the hotel - try the excellent scones, butter and jam. The breakfast at the hotel sounds expensive at 9.5 euros, but in reality it is cheaper than buying breakfast in local cafe's. So much to see and do - so little time!

location was brilliant litrally surrounded by everything you would need from supermarkets to bakerys from pubs to popular restaurants everything you could need is in walking distance including the metro not to forget their is a large market at the end of the road on a Sunday. very good looking hotel inside and out, the continental breakfast was excellent and evan included hot sausages and scrambled eggs each day, fresh juice and a variety of pastry items were also included the hotel was very clean and staff were very polite and always willing to helo. I would honestly rate this hotel a 5*

The location was great. The place was really clean. Walking distance to an outdoor market with many vendor options for food, fresh produce, fresh meats, seafood, and even clothing and gift items. Not within the tourist area, so the area is not heavily populated but conveniently located nearby. There was a holiday for two days during our stay, so having access to hotel meals was convenient when restaurants were closed was a good option. There is a small convenience store around the corner.

Our room was clean and functional. It was definitely small - though we expected that for Paris. The twin beds were smaller than the average twin and we kept seperating them for a little personal space and every day they had been pushed back together. There wasn't quite space for 2 people to open up their luggage - but we made due. Bathroom door didn't have a lock - but it wasn't a deal breaker. A little more space would have gone a long way - but for the price, we were content.

Alyssa

The location is close to everything, different choices of metros, food and recreational activities. From the hotel one can easily connect anywhere in the city of Paris and other European countries through buses and train from Gare du Nord and Gare du Lest which are about four metro stations on line 5. I am really fascinated with the open market that operates twice per week close to the facility.
